How would you like a bespoke Private photography workshop in Ireland?

Ireland offers some of the most amazing locations and scenery to photograph in the world. As a local, I have extensive knowledge of Ireland and specifically its coastline. Therefore I am able to choose suitable locations as well as the best times to capture them.

I offer multi-day or one day photography workshops on a one to one basis, or a small group booking together. A private workshop is specifically tailored for you, and we will focus on the skills you need to learn at the pace that suits you.

There is no better way to improve your photography skills than having a personal tuition session. It allows me to focus on your specific needs.

Prices listed below are for 1-2-1/Small group workshops based in one area, 8 hrs tuition a day.

Daily Rate (Munster Area) €600 per day

Price is available for one person or up to three people booking together.
Daily Rate (Rest of Ireland) €750 per day

Minimum of 2 days, again for 1, 2 or 3 people booking together.

What we will cover :

Composition – Improving your vision & how to structure your image.
Understanding light & making the most of the light that is available.
Focusing and depth of field.
Exposure – Understanding the relationship between lens aperture and shutter speeds.
Creative exposure – Using filters to both balance the light and control the exposure to produce creative effects.
How to use and understand your histogram.
Using filters.

What you will need :

DSLR camera/Mirrorless/Bridge camera/Compact system or mobile phone
Tripod
Filters would be an advantage if you have them (workshop filters are available to try out, if you do not have your own)

A number of us from Naas Photography Group recently had the pleasure of a workshop with Rodney on the Dingle Peninsula. We all thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Rodney's knowledge of the area, possible locations, and the best times to visit those locations was second to none. I have had one to one tuition with Rodney O Callaghan which took place on the Dingle Peninsula. The experience was extremely positive both in terms of what I learned about taking decent photographs and experiencing the breathtaking beauty of one of the most beautiful places on earth! Last Autumn I travelled to Tuscany on one of Rodney's workshops. The experience was truly wonderful. Everything was brilliantly organised. Rodney had researched all the best spots for sunrises and sunsets, the prettiest little Tuscan villages to visit and the best eateries! Rodney was always on hand to give helpful advice and answer questions with good humour and endless patience. It was really nice to be away with a small friendly group of like-minded photographers and I am looking forward to repeating this experience again this year in Slovenia in October. Rodney is a true professional and a great teacher.
