I highly recommend Rodney's photography workshops. He is attentive to everyone and tailors his advice to whatever level each member is at. No question is too easy or difficult for him and he is unfailingly pleasant and cheerful. He knows all the best spots and can adapt the itinerary to the weather and the needs of his clients with ease. His new 8 seater van makes the trip very relaxing and enjoyable too. Most important he has the ability to find the best shots wherever you go and is very generous with sharing his knowledge and skills.

This was my 3rd trip with Rodney and was prob the best out of the 3. Had a brilliant few days. There was a great group and everybody got on so well and the craic was had. I find a trip like this to be great for meeting new like minded people. I learnt new tips from Rodney and the others I was with which was even more beneficial. Accommodation was 4min walk from The City Of Arts and had a pool which I used in my free time during the day when we weren’t shooting. Enjoyed the dinner each evening as we got to discuss the days workshop and a beer before hitting the hay. All in all, I would highly recommend and was money well spent 👍🏻

Absolutely loved this trip, my 3rd with Rodney. We packed so much into each day, 3 different times with rest time in between. Each time zone brought very different light and harsh daylight midday works so well with the architecture, light and shadow. Learnt a huge amount and found the whole trip really inspiring. I will be using these skills at home which is really exciting, Rodney as always really hands on with tuition and guidance. He is a born teacher. Fantastic group, we laughed so much on this trip. Loved it!

I have been on many of Rodney's workshops over the years and each of them have been excellent. This is due to Rodneys attention to detail in organising the trips, to his wonderful knowledge of the designated locations we are visiting and to his expertise in all areas of photography. He is an excellent mentor and he gives individual attention to everyone on the trip regardless of whether a novice or a more advanced photographer. His love of photography and his perceptive observation of the surrounding landscape is contagious resulting in everyone enjoying the trip and coming home with some great shots as well as great memories and enhanced skills. I would highly recommend experiencing one of Rodney's Workshops

I am just back from a 5 day workshop in Slovenia with Rodney which I thoroughly enjoyed. This is my 2nd trip abroad with him and I have also attended 3 workshops in Ireland. Rodney is an excellent photographer, a great manager and organiser. Rodney is quick to offer assistance in a friendly manner. He knows all the best sites to visit in order to capture great photos. The group size was small and we got on well together and had good fun. Each day there were adequate rest periods. One thing is for certain and that is your photography will improve and you will come home with great images. Since coming home I have booked another trip with Rodney to Valencia in 2026, I would highly recommend Rodney’s Workshops

Architectural photography

Architectural abstract photography is a genre that focuses on capturing elements of architecture in a way that emphasises form, shape, colour, texture, and composition rather than a literal representation of buildings.

During this workshop, we will seek to convey a sense of abstraction, mood, and artistic interpretation in all our images.

Creative photography workshop

This wonderful place and its multifaceted complex offers us a distinctive and immersive experience. It provides the perfect setting for photographers of all levels to sharpen their skills and unleash their creativity.

Join me in Valencia on my architectural photography workshop, where we will concentrate on specific details such as light, shadow, patterns, textures, lines, and angles.
