London Black Cab Photo Tour – Mar, 2025

Join us in March 2025 for a unique photography workshop with a twist! Experience London as never before, under the guidance of both myself and professional photographer and guide Terry Gibbins. Terry will lead us through the inspiring London cityscape in his Black Cab. Experience  the people..the sights…the city at night … the skyline… the cultural experience, which I feel is invaluable. 

Terry and I have travelled and worked together on a number of occassions over the years, I have guided for Terry and his tour groups in Ireland and we have just completed a very successful London Black Cab Photography Tour together.

Photographer Terry Gibbins was born in Greenwich and has spent his whole life living and working in London. Terry studied photography at college and later began learning ‘the Knowledge’ to become a London Black Taxi driver. In his own words “this scratched a growing itch to explore my surroundings, as a cabbie I now had the flexibility and freedom to balance my love of Photography and London with work and home life”

Terry began leading  photo tours in London and overseas in 2015, and regularly runs tours in London and worldwide.

This small group workshop has just 5 places available. The workshop will begin at 9am with a meet and greet session at the hotel on Monday 14th of March. Our hotel is ideally located right in the heart of the city. 

Once checked in, you will have some time to get settled. Following this the group will come back together and we will venture out to begin exploring the city for an evening shoot.

The workshop will encompass three days of shooting, spanning Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day we will visit numerous renowned landmarks, work at capturing the atmosphere of London and discovering many hidden gems along the way!

Each morning will begin with sunrise, and we will shoot throughout the day, taking breaks in-between, until the sunset and twilight hours.

Our aim on the workshop is to enable you to capturing the essence of everyday life in London, as well as the timeless images of iconic locations like Westminster, Big Ben, St. Pauls and The Millennium Bridge. Additionally, you will be encouraged to express your own personal interpretation of this captivating city through various photographic styles, including traditional colour and black-and-white with long exposures, as well as more artistic approaches like ICM.

The workshop will finish at 3pm on Sunday the 21st of April.

All 5 places must be filled for workshop to go ahead. In the event the workshop does not go ahead, all deposits paid will be refunded.

We will meet at 9am on Monday the 24th of March at our hotel.
