Northumberland is truly beautiful and provides a multitude of subject matter from a photographer’s perspective. Lindisfarne, Holy Island, Bamburgh, and Dunstanburgh Castles are among the numerous iconic locations we will visit on this workshop. Northumberland has many castles which provide breathtaking and dramatic focal points when capturing the wider views of this stunning coastline. As Northumberland’s coast faces east, it is ideal for capturing sunrise.
The unspoiled coastal areas of Northumberland boast beautiful white sandy beaches that are edged with tall Marram grass. Our base close to Bamburgh, puts us within easy reach of all our desired locations, both north and south.
We will travel between Berwick Upon Tweed in the north to Roker in the south.
During our workshop we will aim to visit the following locations:
- Holy Island & Lindisfarne Castle
- Amble
- Blyth, South Beach
- Craster Harbour
- Embleton Bay
- Bamburgh Castle
- St. Mary’s Island and Lighthouse Whitley Bay
- Spittal Beach
- Berwick Upon Tweed
- Tynemouth Pier and Lighthouse
- Alynmouth
- Alnwick
