Tuscany in Spring – April, 2025

Spring is a wonderful time to visit Tuscany. With longer days we will explore the beautiful region of Val d’Orcia from morning until sunset.  A dreamlike country of wide verdant hills dotted with cypress trees. Its colours are famous. Impossibly green in springtime and intense burned yellow hues in Summer or Autumn, with solitary houses standing on hilltops surrounded by cypresses that reach upward for the sky.

What to expect:

We will be out for sunrise each morning. As with most workshops, sunrise may not coincide with hotel breakfast hours, so we will have breakfast in one of the local towns. We will return to the hotel for a break between 11am and 1pm after which we will go back out shooting.

Between 3-4pm daily we will break for lunch in one of the many hilltop villages.
There will be time after lunch to explore these beautiful villages, which are packed full of artisan shops, before we head out for the evening shoots.

Each evening back at our hotel there will be time for socialising, relaxing and reflecting upon our day.

This schedule will allow us to maximise our time in Val d’Orcia.

There will be a pre-workshop Zoom session for all participants. This will be an opportunity learn more about what you can expect on the workshop.

Equipment needed:

• DSLR camera / mirrorless / bridge or similar
• Sturdy tripod
• Graduated neutral density filters
• Walking shoes / boots
• Spare batteries

• Four nights accommodation.

• Each participant will have their own room. All rooms are  ensuite

• Transport is provided throughout the trip, including transfers to and from Rome Fiumicino airport
