Accommodation is not included in this workshop. I’ll be staying at Hotel Canaletto, where my regular Venice workshops are based. You’re very welcome to book there too, or choose any accommodation nearby that suits your preferences and budget. Each evening, we’ll have a designated meeting point in the city where the group will gather before we head out to shoot.
Join me in Venice this December for a small-group night photography workshop dedicated to capturing the magical beauty of La Serenissima after dark. Over four evenings, we’ll explore moody canals, quiet piazzas, shimmering reflections and atmospheric alleyways as the city transforms under streetlight and moonlight. From long exposures on the Grand Canal to intimate scenes in hidden corners, we’ll focus on composition, technique and seeing creatively in low light.
The workshop runs from 9–13 December 2026, finishing after our final night shoot on the 12th. Our photography sessions will take place in the evenings and at night; you are completely free to explore and enjoy the city by day – whether that’s scouting locations, visiting galleries, or simply getting lost with your camera in Venice’s labyrinth of streets.
With a maximum of just 7 participants, there will be plenty of time for individual attention, feedback, and guidance. Whether you’re new to night photography or looking to refine your skills, I’ll be on hand throughout to help you return home with a strong portfolio of evocative, atmospheric images of Venice by night.
Following the workshop, there will be a dedicated online post‑processing session via Zoom, where I’ll walk you through my editing workflow and demonstrate how to get the very best from the images you’ve captured in Venice at night.
The workshop begins at 7pm on Wednesday the 9th December, with a meeting of participants at either a designated meeting point in Marks Square or at my hotel, confirmed closer to the time.
On meeting there will be introductions and the agenda for the following days will be outlined. We will then have dinner before heading out for our first shoot of the workshop, where we will capture the charm of Venice by night.
