Join me on a fabulous week-long adventure to Norway’s Lofoten Islands within the boundaries of the Arctic Circle and get the whole workshop and my full attention all to yourself on my private photography workshop and tour.
Lofoten is one of the world’s northernmost populated regions, and is an area of unforgettable scenery, majestic alpine mountain peaks, arctic fjords, scenic beaches and small fishing settlements.
Our base will be in a traditional fishing hut at Hamnoy, which you will have all to yourself.
We will shoot each day from dawn to dusk taking breaks in between whilst maximising our time in Lofoten.
With the right weather conditions, each night offers the opportunity to witness the phenomenal Aurora Borealis aka Northern Lights. This time of year offers great potential to capture nature’s beautiful show of light. Lofoten, with its unspoiled arctic nature, is a photographer’s dream.
As this is a 1-2-1, the workshop will be tailored to suit the requirements of the individual. A selection of locations you will be able to visit include:
Hamnoy
Reine: Known for its traditional rorbu fishing cabins, these charming huts are built on land, using stilts, perched high above the water.
Uttakliev: Uttakliev Beach is where we will photograph The Dragons Eye. A famous natural rock formation found along this beautiful shoreline.
Skagsanden Beach: Skagsanden has become an iconic beach on the Lofoten islands. The beach is known for its golden sand, surrounded by rugged mountains and distinctive rock formations. The contrast between the sandy shore and the sharp peaks of the nearby mountains creates a breathtaking landscape. The rivers running into the ocean, and the black sand which mixes with the white sand, create some wonderful unique patterns, presenting us with some fabulous foreground interest.
Sakrisoy: This small island is situated at the foot of Olstind, one of Lofoten’s most iconic mountains.
Rambergstranda Beach
Unstad: This beautiful beach, set amongst stunning scenery, is known as the heart of the Norwegian surf scene.
